Sam Mcglone, Michellie Jones, and me shared the podium. I was an age grouper then with those 2 women, it was incredible to share top 3 with them. The swim is perfect! It is home to our local “Hapuna Roughwater 1 miler” so I know the swim loop very well. Not to mention where the sharks hide…The bike is the back half of the Hawaii Ironman course. You get to ride the best part of it (the hilly section and windy section) but it is also home to dozens of whales! And the run, I have YET to have a decent run on that course, just have not figured it out yet… maybe I should run there more often :)
